CFIB Demands Insurance Inquiry

The ever-spiraling costs of business insurance are completely out of control. Not only are some businesses seeing outrageous increases in premiums, but some businesses can't get coverage at all (Vancouver Sun).

The Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses is going to bat for SMEs once again, demanding a national inquiry. Read about the problem and what the CFIB has done about it so far here. The Insurance Bureau of Canada says such an inquiry is not necessary. We'll have to see how this one plays out - while we continue to dig even deeper into our pockets.
