Business Quotation Of The Week

"The fundamental principles which govern the handling of postage stamps and of millions of dollars are exactly the same. They are the common law of business, and the whole practice of commerce is founded on them. They are so simple that a fool can't learn them; so hard that a lazy man won't." - P. D. Armour.
What are these fundamental principles? The principles of business management. More small businesses fail because of poor management than for any other reason. I suspect it's because many small entrepreneurs are just too busy doing what they do, and end up giving business management short shrift.
The four areas of business management most critical to small businesses are money management, business planning, people management and resource management. Be sure you're covering all the bases with Business Management Basics, an outline of the important components of each of these four business management areas, with links to resources.
