It’s my guess that a lot of small business owners started their businesses as part-time ventures that they hoped would develop into full-time businesses. It’s a sensible way of testing a business idea and leaves you time to do other things (such as bring in other income). But if this is your chosen development path, how do you know when it’s time for you to step off?
What motivated you to take the plunge and devote yourself to your own business full-time?
What motivated you to take the plunge and devote yourself to your own business full-time?
- Losing my full-time/part-time job.
- The advice of family and/or friends.
- Getting so busy that I had to “go big” or get out.
- Having saved enough money to be comfortable with the idea.
- I had to as it’s impossible to run this business part-time.
- I just did it; I didn’t see it as much of a risk.
