Back to School Shopping for Your Small Business

Back to school shopping is a great opportunity for small businesses to stock up and upgrade.
If you have school-age children, you're out there shopping anyhow and so many of the things we're shopping for are just as useful for business as they are for students heading back to school. Who can't use more binders, post-it-notes and pens?
And many retailers put a lot more on sale than just school supplies - you can find some real deals on office equipment during back to school shopping promotions.
For instance, during my own back to school shopping spree, I bought this Samsung SyncMaster 245BW Black 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor. A 24 inch monitor for under $350 bucks is pretty incredible - and it's already making a pretty incredible difference to my working day.
I also bought this APC (American Power Conversion) 1300VA Battery Back-up System. It will keep my computer (And whatever else is plugged into it) up and running for half an hour or so depending on the load when the power goes out and protect it from surges and spikes. And I love the front panel LCD display which makes it easy to see what's going on (such as how much charge is left in the battery). (Warning: these units are really, really heavy.)
And last but not least, I bought a Kingston 4GB DataTraveler USB Flash Drive - one local retailer is selling these for $10.00 each, a great deal on something that I, for one, never leave home without.
