This is the 21st year that the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) will be presenting Young Entrepreneur awards to one successful young business person from each province and territory. Winners will also be eligible to two special awards, the Export Development Canada Export Excellence Award and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

The Young Entrepreneur Awards are a great chance to reap great publicity for your business and get nation wide media attention. In 2008, for instance, there were more than 300 articles and mentions of the YEA winners in media across Canada. Winning one of these awards also provides exceptional networking opportunities.

So go ahead - nominate yourself. Applications are due by June 24th.

To apply, you need to be a Canadian citizen between age 19 and 35 and have at least two years experience running your own business.
