Ebates, a cash-back shopping portal, may be a good way for you to save money on office supplies, office equipment, business software.... goods to help you run your business.

The process is simple. As a consumer, you join Ebates (which is free), use their site to access the participating online merchants you want to shop at, shop, and get cash back for doing so.

The percentage of money you get back depends on the merchant. Right now there are over 1100 participating in the Ebates program and cash-backs range from 10% to 1%. (Here's the list of participating merchants.)

One drawback: Ebates only pays out every three months, sending you a cheque or depositing your cash-back into your PayPal account, as long as you've accumulated more than $5.00 in cash back from purchases. I think that's a drawback a person can live with.

Also, here's why and how to participate in Ebates as a merchant if you're interested.

I know another Ebates-like shopping portal that also lets the shoppers save a lot while shopping; through its cash back utility. And, it is AAfter.com cash-back search. However, unlike Ebates, it takes 60 days to make your cash back amount available
