It's always a good idea to have a copy of whatever material you have online. As the Geocities fiasco shows, hosts can shut down and websites disappear. HTTrack Website Copier is a free offline browser utility that lets you download a website from the Internet to a local directory on your computer.

The really cool thing about it is that once you've downloaded your website, you'll be able to browse the site from link to link, just as if you were viewing it online, as HTTrack retains the original site's relative link-structure.

WinHTTrack is for Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP; WebHTTrack, an offline browser utility for Linux/Unix/BSD systems, is also available.
