Cool Tool of the Week: FeedBlitz

FeedBlitz is an email marketing application that manages RSS feeds and then turns them into automated emails, Tweets and Instant Messages to subscribers.

So if you have a blog, for example, you can use FeedBlitz to automatically turn your blog into an email newsletter and send it to your customers/clients. And as our About.com Real Estate Guide Randy Kimmons points out (The Blog-to-Newsletter Replacement for Drip Email), that's really cool because there are still a lot of people who have no idea how to sign up for an RSS feed but will sign up for an email newsletter.

Two things to note; you don't have to have a blog to use FeedBlitz and sending out emails is not all it does; it also lets you use automatic email marketing with RSS feeds and social media such as Twitter.

The downside may be price. The monthly fee is based on the average number of daily active email newsletter subscribers in your account (RSS subscribers don't count; just email ones). If you have a small list, FeedBlitz is cheap but the price climbs with the number of subscribers. The fee for 100 to 499 subscribers is currently listed as $9.98 USD per month.
