Extreme Startups is a new small business accelerator program just launched in Toronto.

Extreme Startups.

From now until March 1st, 2012, applications are being accepted for five startups to participate in the first Cohort, a 12 week incubation program.

Participating startups will receive $50,000 up front and another $150,000 upon completion of the program, given shared resources and office space in downtown Toronto and access to a network of more than 20 mentors who serve as veteran industry experts - and at the end of their 12-week program, participants will be introduced to potential investors and industry partners who can help their companies rise to the next level of success.

What do you have to be to get in on this, besides a startup? From the Extreme Startups website:

"We primarily fund technology-oriented companies with a focus on web or mobile-based software, but we are open to companies in any space with compelling ideas and solutions."

Apply now (online application form).
