D.H. wrote to ask why she wasn't getting the Speak for Success Course lessons she had signed up for and I thought it would be worthwhile to post my reply here as she's definitely not the only person who has trouble getting email from About.

Sometimes people’s email boxes are full. Sometimes there’s a problem with the automated system at our end. Most commonly, though, a person’s email has filters configured that don’t allow About mail to get through. To ensure that you receive your mailings, please configure your spam filters to bypass any messages with a from address that ends in "about.com" (ex: newsletters@about.com).

For the Speak to Success Course specifically, you can "order" lessons that you’ve missed (or ones you’d like to see in advance of the weekly mailing) through the Lost Lessons page.

Ordering a lesson or two and seeing if it gets through to you would be a good test of your email filter.

You can also access the Speak for Success course through its individual lesson pages online starting with Speak for Success Lesson 1, bookmarking the page you're working with to make it easier to get back to.
