Yes, you don't have to
register for a GST or HST account with the Canada Revenue Agency if you're a sole proprietor
with total taxable revenues of $30,000 or less in the last four consecutive
calendar quarters. You may want to register voluntarily though, so you can claim
Input Tax Credits to recover the GST/HST you paid or owe for goods or services
you used conducting your commercial activities.
