Definition: The form that the Canada Revenue Agency sends to all taxpayers after processing their returns, that states the amount of taxes to be paid or refunded.

The Notice of Assessment informs the taxpayer or GST/HST registrant of any corrections CCRA has made to the returns or rebate applications, and includes a reassessment. 

Also Known As: No aliases.

Examples: After the Canada Revenue Agency has reviewed your income tax, they will send you a notice of assessment.

Alternate Spellings: None.

Common Misspellings: Notice of assesment, notice of asessment.
