Alberta Small Business Events in October
The Third Annual Liberty Health Small Business Summit is in Edmonton October 2
(11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and in Calgary October 3 (11:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m.). The event includes keynote speaker Doug Dayton, (founding member of the
Microsoft Dream Team), who will speak on the future
of e-business and how small businesses can take advantage of the Internet, a light

October 13 and 14 are the dates set for the
Edmonton Women's Show. Held at the Northlands Agricom in Edmonton, this event "provides a venue to
connect with women
from all walks of life" and will include business information and

Small Business Week officially kicks off with an Opening Dinner and Forum
in Calgary, October 22 at the Glenmore Inn. Organized by the BDC, the forum at
this event is a panel of prominent business owners who will take questions on
how the represented
companies have used innovation to broaden business and how they expect to
continue experiencing growth in today's competitive economy. Doors open at 5 p.m.;
