Tamara Monosoff reports that she was able to shave $500 a month off her business expenses (well actually, about $470 a month) - without cutting anything essential (I Cut Costs by $500 per Month, Entrepreneur.com). Her method was to examine her monthly business expenses, decide what levels of service were essential and then find the same services for less.
Phone services were the first item for examination. As Tamara points out, with both land lines and cell phones, your old plan may have fit your old circumstances well and have been well-priced - but that was then. It could probably use an adjustment.
Other expenses she looked at and was able to save money on include web hosting and the Internet, credit cards, insurance, computer backup services, printer ink and shipping.
You might not be able to cut costs on all the same expenses as she did, but it's certainly worth a look. And once you start looking, you might even find other possible areas of expense savings that aren't even on the list.
