A person in the Forum is asking for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) advice and that got me thinking again about the importance of keywords when writing for the Web.
Not only do you have to have them, but you have to have "good" ones; keywords that are appropriate to your content and that people will actually be searching for. Researching and selecting what I think are the right keywords is the first thing I do when I'm writing an article.
And Wordtracker's Free Keyword Suggestion Tool is the keywords search tool that's bookmarked in my browser. I like its speed and simplicity.
There are others, of course. What keyword tools do you recommend?

You’re welcome, Matt. Glad I could help.
Hi Susan,
My name’s Mal and I work for Wordtracker Customer Support. Thanks for mentioning the free keywords tool – I just wanted to let you know about another couple of free tools we have in addition to this and the paid subscription tool.
The first is a tool for bloggers to do quick and easy keyword research while writing their blog – it’s a Firefox plug in called SEO Blogger, and offers keyword data on your seed word, and keeps a count of the amount of times you’ve used each keyword in your blog post – it can be found at:
http://labs.wordtracker.com/seo-blogger
The other tool is called Keyword Questions, and will give you up to one hundred questions that searchers are asking from any given seed term. It’s a great tool for getting ideas for blog posts or developing your content. This tool can be found at:
http://labs.wordtracker.com/keyword-questions
I hope everyone finds these tools useful, but of course, if there are any questions, please drop us a line at support@wordtracker.com.
All the best,
Mal

Thanks for this, Mal. I’m going to add these two tools to my bookmarks, too!
I use Wordtracker as a starting point for keyword research. It is a very good keyword search tool.
Mal, thanks for the “questions” tool, I can see how that will be very helpful. I plan on using that as often as I can!
