The Tungsten T PDA has features some other PDAs don't have
First, the Tungsten T Palm PDA has added features that make it a more usable PDA for business users. With the addition of the voice memo application, the Tungsten Palm PDA functions as a recorder. You can dictate notes to yourself with the touch of a button, and automatically transfer them to your computer when you HotSync.
The Tungsten T Palm PDA also has built-in BlueTooth wireless capabilities. Besides enabling wireless access to the Internet and email, your Palm PDA will connect with other BlueTooth-enabled devices such as printers and desktop computers.
More Tungsten T PDA features that make work easier
Second, there are the features that make the Tungsten T easier to use. The color screen is a winner, providing a high resolution 320 x 320 color display. The five-way navigator button lets you operate the Tungsten T Palm PDA with one hand if you like, and generally makes navigating between applications easier.
My favorite ease-of-use feature is the Palm Tungsten T's slider. Push up on the bottom of the PDA's screen, and the Tungsten compacts (to 4.0 inches from 4.8 inches tall), putting the graffiti functions out of the way when you don't need them. Pull down, and the whole PDA screen is available once again.
What about the Tungsten T PDA cons?
Although I listed it as a con in my PDA review summary, having 16MB RAM memory is perfectly adequate for running all the Palm applications and doing things such as working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
And the Tungsten T Palm PDA has a MultiMediaCard expansion slot, so it's easy enough to just slip a card into the Secure Digital (SD) slot if you find you do need more memory.
Tungsten T PDA synchronization and more
Transferring data between your Palm PDA and your computer is smooth and fast with the USB HotSnyc cable that comes with the Tungsten T PDA. The unit also has an infrared port so you can beam information from one Palm PDA to another.
Like many other Palm PDAs, the Tungsten T is equipped with the classic Palm PDA applications, runs the Palm operating system, and has a rechargeable lithium battery.{/p] If you're a Palm PDA fan who wants a PDA for business use, you'll like the Tungsten T. And as the original in Palm's T series, the Tungsten T Palm PDA is also a good deal now compared to the new members of Palm's T line.
